Purpose of the Training
The “From Thought to Story: Creative Writing for Children” certificate training aims to stimulate children’s imagination, enable them to express their emotions freely through writing, and offer them the opportunity to discover their own creative voice. Through creative writing activities, the training seeks to develop many skills and attitudes in children, such as critical thinking, creative thinking, and problem-solving, based on P4C (Philosophy for Children) pedagogy. It is an enjoyable process that includes practices designed to help children express in writing what they have accumulated in their minds and dreams, enrich their vocabulary, recognize the richness and beauty of the Turkish language, and put these into written form. The training also aims to improve children’s written expression skills, teach original storytelling techniques, and support them through a process ranging from sound to text in understanding where to begin a story, how to write it, and how to convey emotions within a story.
