Training Content

• Session 1: Citation Analysis and Literature Review with Scite (2 Hours)
• Content:
• Basic features of Scite and its use in academic studies.
• Analyzing the context of citations in articles (supporting, contrasting, mentioning).
• Using Scite for literature review: identifying reliable sources.
• Practice: Participants analyze an article in their own research area via Scite and interpret the citation context.
• Session 2: Academic Text Improvement and Summarization with Quillbot (2 Hours)
• Content:
• Main features of Quillbot: Paraphrasing, language enhancement, and summarization.
• Techniques for paraphrasing academic texts without losing meaning.
• Summarizing articles and extracting key findings.
• Practice: Participants improve and summarize their own articles or sample texts using Quillbot.
• Session 3: Article Discovery and Comprehension with Scispace (2 Hours)
• Content:
• Basic features of Scispace: Article discovery, summarization, and comprehension.
• Simplifying complex academic texts and extracting key concepts.
• Using Scispace in interdisciplinary research.
• Practice: Participants scan an article via Scispace, create a summary, and discuss key findings.
• Session 4: Evidence-Based Research with Consensus and Elicit (2 Hours)
• Content:
• Consensus: Finding evidence-based answers to research questions.
• Basic features and usage areas of Consensus.
• Quick evidence discovery and synthesis in academic studies.
• Elicit: Automating literature review and data extraction.
• Basic features and usage scenarios of Elicit.
• Automating literature searches and creating data tables.
• Practice: Participants use Consensus and Elicit to find answers to a research question and perform a literature review.

Important Information

• Certificates will be issued to participants who attend at least 70% of the total training. No certificate will be issued for 69% or less attendance.
• After the training is completed, certificates will be prepared after our institutional checks and sent via PTT Cargo to the addresses provided during registration. Addresses and contact information must be up-to-date.
• Participants can send any questions or issues to usem@uludag.edu.tr. Emails will be monitored throughout the training.
• Application and payment of the training fee are made online via bank/credit card. Installments are not available for credit card payments. For corporate purchases, payment can be made via bank transfer.

Note: In case participants who have confirmed registration cannot attend for a valid reason or cancel their registration, refunds may take approximately 1 month due to internal processes according to the revolving fund management regulations. Please consider this before finalizing your registration.
