The training is intended for professional development purposes. The certificate obtained does not replace the MYK (Vocational Qualification Authority) license required for programs where an MYK license is mandatory.

Training Objective

This training program has been designed for youth leaders under the Ministry of Youth and Sports. It aims to provide participants with knowledge of artificial intelligence literacy, develop their ability to transfer this knowledge to young people, and prepare them to conduct dissemination activities at the local level as qualified trainers.


Training Content

MODULE 1 – Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Literacy and Understanding the Role of the Trainer (3 Hours)
Content:

  • Understanding the fundamentals of AI. What is Artificial Intelligence? Its origin, early milestones, and how applications such as the Wumpus World contributed to AI foundations.

  • What is Machine Learning and Deep Learning? Their differences, origins, and current examples.

  • Model, algorithm, data relationships, and how they connect to AI with examples.

  • Everyday examples of AI, situations of unintentional exposure, and why we embrace AI.

  • The trainer’s role: not just a lecturer but a facilitator, teaching AI not through jargon but through real-life integration.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Simplifies and explains concepts clearly

  • Develops effective presentation techniques

  • Understands the facilitator approach

Activity:

  • “How to explain AI to a young person?” practice

  • Group presentations and feedback


MODULE 2 – AI Ethics and Value-Based Work with Youth (2 Hours)
Content:

  • What is algorithmic bias?

  • Privacy and data security in detail

  • AI ethics: transparency, accountability, explainability

  • Introduction to regulations such as the EU AI Act

  • Methods of engaging youth in ethical discussions

Learning Outcomes:

  • Explains ethical principles in simple terms

  • Conducts value-based group discussions

  • Improves youth awareness on ethical issues

Activity:

  • Case study: “Should an autonomous car hit a child or an elderly person?” Discussion of big data vs. small data contributions to AI.

  • Ethical debate with different approaches


MODULE 3 – Exploring and Using AI Tools with Youth (3 Hours)
Content:

  • Introduction to tools such as ChatGPT, DALL·E, Perplexity

  • Content generation and moderation

  • Fact-checking with AI

  • Guiding youth in using AI tools

Learning Outcomes:

  • Uses basic AI tools effectively

  • Creates content with youth

  • Conducts verification and analysis

Activity:

  • Generating visuals and texts

  • Evaluating produced content in terms of sources and bias


MODULE 4 – Critical Literacy and Fact-Checking Skills (3 Hours)
Content:

  • Critical digital literacy

  • Combating misinformation

  • Tools such as GPTZero, Turnitin, Google Images

  • Identifying AI-generated errors and spotting AI-generated text

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develops a critical mindset among youth

  • Encourages source verification

  • Gains practical experience in AI detection and analysis tools

Activity:

  • Fake news/deepfake analysis

  • Fact-checking exercises


MODULE 5 – Designing Workshop Plans for Youth (3 Hours)
Content:

  • Creating a workshop plan (objective, tools, activities)

  • Practice-based planning

  • Designing engaging scenarios for youth

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develops implementation plans

  • Designs effective evaluation systems

  • Prepares target group-specific content

Activity:

  • Each participant prepares a 2-hour training plan to implement in their local community.


MODULE 6 – Training Delivery, Evaluation, and Dissemination Strategy (2 Hours)
Content:

  • Closing session and feedback

  • Dissemination plan: 1 leader + 2 youth + center

  • Pre-test / post-test, evaluation forms

Learning Outcomes:

  • Delivers effective presentations

  • Develops local application plans

  • Uses evaluation tools effectively

Activity:

  • 5-minute individual presentations (6 leaders will be randomly selected to present, but all participants must prepare).

  • Written and oral dissemination plan presentations

5. Evaluation

  • Participants will be assessed through practical assignments after each module.

  • At the end of the first day, participants will prepare a 5-minute dissemination-oriented presentation.

  • At the end of the program, a “Artificial Intelligence Trainer Training” Certificate of Participation will be awarded.


6. Trainer Profile & Logistics

  • Trainers will be academics (computer/software engineers) with AI expertise.

  • Technical requirements: classroom, projector, internet connection, laptops.


7. Dissemination

  • Participants are expected to transfer their knowledge to at least 2 young people in their provinces.

  • A “Youth AI Literacy Team” of 3 members will be formed in youth centers, supported with educational content.

  • If required, sample workshop reports may be collected from provinces for impact evaluation.


The program is open to institutional partnerships only (organizations/companies), and individual applications are not accepted.
The training content can be tailored to the profile and needs of institutional participants.
The delivery method (face-to-face or online) will be determined mutually, and schedules will be arranged accordingly.
