Training Requirements:
Mediator renewal training is mandatory to be taken every 2 years. Current mediators must complete the training before this period expires to continue their duties. Participation in the training is compulsory for all mediators who are registered in the Ministry of Justice Registry of Mediators and are actively serving.
This requirement aims to both maintain professional standards and ensure the conduct of an impartial and effective mediation process. The duration of the training, the scope of the content, and the principles of implementation are determined within the framework of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Mediation Regulation.

Training Process
The training process covers both theoretical and practical modules. In the theoretical part, recent changes in mediation legislation, new implementation principles, and ethical rules are covered. In the practical section, work is carried out on case examples taken from real files, and communication techniques with the parties and the processes of preparing agreement texts are put into practice.
The mediator renewal training curriculum consists of the first 3 hours of criminal legislation training regarding mediation, the 4th and 5th hours of communication training, and the last three hours as a practical application lesson.
Thanks to this structure, mediators not only update their legislative knowledge but also increase their competence in practice by strengthening their negotiation and communication skills.
