Privacy and Security Policy
Our institution may collect personal data for various purposes. Below, we explain how and in what manner the collected personal data are gathered and how they are protected.
By filling out various forms and surveys on our Store, certain personal information about members (such as name and surname, company information, phone number, address, or email address) is collected by our Store as required by the nature of the business.
Our company may periodically send campaign information, information about new products, and promotional offers to its customers and members. Our members can choose whether or not to receive such information during registration; later, after logging in, they may change this preference in the account information section or notify us via the link provided in the informational message sent to them.
During the approval process carried out through our Store or via email, personal information transmitted electronically to our Store by our members will not be disclosed to third parties outside the purposes and scope defined in the “User Agreement” we have concluded with our members.
In order to identify system-related problems and to quickly resolve any issues or disputes that may arise regarding the services provided, our company records and uses the IP addresses of its members. IP addresses may also be used to generally identify users and to collect comprehensive demographic information.
Our company may also use the requested information, outside the purposes and scope defined in the Membership Agreement, for direct marketing activities carried out by itself or by parties it cooperates with. Personal information may also be used to contact the user when necessary. Information requested by our company or provided by the user, or information related to transactions carried out through our Store, may be used by our company and its partners—without disclosing members’ identities—for various statistical analyses, database creation, and market research, even outside the purposes and scope defined in the “Membership Agreement.”
Our company undertakes to keep confidential information strictly private and confidential, to regard this as a duty of confidentiality, and to take all necessary measures and exercise due care to ensure and maintain confidentiality and to prevent all or any part of the confidential information from entering the public domain or from unauthorized use or disclosure to third parties.
CREDIT CARD SECURITY
Our company prioritizes the security of credit card holders who shop on our online stores. Your credit card information is never stored in our systems.
When you enter the transaction process, there are two things to look for to understand that you are on a secure site. One is a key or lock icon located on the bottom line of your browser. This indicates that you are on a secure internet page and that all your information is encrypted and protected. This information is used only in connection with the sales transaction and in line with your instructions. Information related to the credit card used during shopping is encrypted independently of our shopping sites using the 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol and transmitted to the relevant bank for verification. If the card’s usability is approved, the shopping process continues. Since no card information can be viewed or recorded by us, third parties are prevented from obtaining this information under any circumstances.
The reliability of payment/invoice/delivery address information for orders placed online with a credit card is audited by our company against Credit Card Fraud. Therefore, for customers placing an order on our shopping sites for the first time, the accuracy of financial and address/phone information must first be confirmed before the order can proceed to the supply and delivery stage. If necessary, the credit card holder or the relevant bank may be contacted to verify this information.
Only you can access and modify all the information you provide during registration. As long as you keep your membership login information secure, it is not possible for others to access or change your information. For this purpose, a 128-bit SSL secure environment is used during membership transactions. This system is an international encryption standard that cannot be broken.
Online shopping sites that provide a customer service line and clearly state their physical address and phone number are preferred more today. This allows you to obtain detailed information on any matter you may have questions about and to gain more reliable insight into the credibility of the company providing online shopping services.
Note: We recommend paying attention to whether an online shopping site displays the company’s full address and phone number. If you are going to shop, note down all phone/address details of the store you are purchasing from before completing your purchase. If you do not trust it, confirm by calling before shopping. On all our online shopping sites, all information about our company and its location is clearly stated.
MAIL ORDER CREDIT CARD INFORMATION SECURITY
Your identity and credit card information that you send to us via the mail-order method are stored by our company in accordance with confidentiality principles. These information are retained for 60 days to address possible objections related to credit card charges with the bank and are then destroyed. If any amount other than the amount approved by you on the mail-order form sent for the price of the products you ordered is charged to your card, you may naturally object to the bank and prevent payment of this amount; therefore, this does not pose a risk.
THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND APPLICATIONS
Our Store may provide links to other sites within its website. Our company does not bear any responsibility for the privacy practices or contents of the sites accessed through these links. Advertisements published on our site are distributed to users through our advertising partners. The Privacy Policy principles in this agreement apply only to the use of our Store and do not cover third-party websites.
EXCEPTIONAL CASES
In the limited cases listed below, our company may disclose user information to third parties outside the provisions of this “Privacy Policy.” These cases are limited to:
-
Compliance with obligations imposed by applicable laws, decrees having the force of law, regulations, and other legal rules issued by authorized legal authorities and in force;
-
Fulfilling and implementing the requirements of the “Membership Agreement” and other agreements concluded between our Store and users;
-
Requests for information about users made by authorized administrative or judicial authorities in accordance with due procedure for the purpose of conducting an investigation or inquiry;
-
Cases where providing information is necessary to protect users’ rights or security.
E-MAIL SECURITY
In emails you send to our Store’s Customer Services regarding any of your orders, never write your credit card number or passwords. Information contained in emails may be viewed by third parties. Our company cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted via your emails under any circumstances.
BROWSER COOKIES
Our company may obtain information about users visiting our store and their use of the website by using a technical communication file (cookie). These technical communication files are small text files sent by a website to the user’s browser to be stored in main memory. By storing status and preferences about the site, the technical communication file facilitates the use of the Internet.
The technical communication file helps obtain statistical information about how many people visit the site, for what purpose a person visits the site, how many times they visit, and how long they stay on the site, and assists in dynamically generating advertisements and content from user pages specially designed for users. The technical communication file is not designed to retrieve data or any other personal information from main memory or your email. Most browsers are initially designed to accept technical communication files, but users may change their settings to prevent the receipt of technical communication files or to be warned when such files are sent.
Our company may amend the provisions of this “Privacy Policy” at any time by publishing them on the site, sending them to users via electronic mail, or publishing them on its website. If the provisions of the Privacy Policy are amended, they shall enter into force on the date of publication.
