What is C Programming Language?

Printing the work that needs to be done on a computer as a command is called a program. The programming language helps us to give these commands. It serves to express an algorithm. More than 150 programming languages have been made. Some of these are; C, C#, Java, Python, Delphi, PHP, etc.

In 969, the B language, one of the first programming languages in history, was released. Being one of the first coding languages, language B had many shortcomings. Its developers, aware of this, released a language without these shortcomings 3 years later. This language was called the C language after the letter "B". Thus, the C language was introduced for the first time by Dennis Ritchie. The C programming language is a software language designed to develop web applications on the Microsoft platform. It is the language that allows you to develop many applications by adding your creativity on the web.

Programming languages are divided into three groups among themselves. These; It is divided into lower-level, mid-level and high-level programming languages. The C programming language belongs to the group of intermediate programming languages. This language group has a very flexible language and can do both upper and lower level programming. This programming language appeals to every hardware because it is close to machine language. The C programming language is also primarily preferred for developing firmware and portable applications. In addition, when it comes to high-level software, this programming language can be used. With the C programming language, drivers can be written, graphics and game software can be produced, machines such as washing machine calculators, which are considered as embedded systems, can be coded, robots can be made. In addition to these, the unix kernel, Microsoft Windows programs, operating system applications and a large part of the android operating system are created using the C programming language. General features of C Programming language;

  • It is a simple and basic language. This is also called the core language.
  • It is a very reliable language compared to other languages.
  • It is an efficient language.
  • It has the ability to work on many platforms.
  • It is an interactive language.
  • It is a modular language.

What is Object-Oriented Programming with C#?

C# is a flexible, object-oriented, intermediate programming language derived from the C and C++ languages. C# is designed for server and embedded systems. Developed by Microsoft, C# was developed for use in the .NET environment. Anders Hejlberg pioneered the design of the language. This programming language, which has developed over time, is used in most places, whether it is desktop or web applications.

C# supports object-oriented programming, while C does not support object-oriented programming. Perhaps the most important thing they have in common is that they have similar syntax. In terms of its

main structure, C# programming is different from programming with C. In order for programs written in C# to work, it is sufficient to have libraries and compilers compatible with this system on computers where '.NET Libraries' are located. This library and compiler can be in the '.NET Framework' or it can be a different library or compiler with ECMA standards.

While C# is considered an intermediate language due to its proximity to machine language, its proximity to human perception has made it popular. Intermediate language does not indicate the power level of that language, but its level towards machine language. In other words, the closer the coding structure is to the machine language, the lower the level is relatively low. In the same way, a high-level language is related to the proximity of that language to human speech. Object-oriented programming with C# can be used in the fields of web applications (Asp.NET), mobile applications, web services applications, console applications, DLL authoring, Windows Form Applications and game design. General characteristics of the C# programming language;

  • It is simple and for general purposes.
  • It is an easy-to-use modern language.
  • 100% Object oriented programming language.
  • Powerful type control
  • Platform independence
  • Directory boundary control
  • Residual data collection
