Training Information

  • Training Method: Face-to-Face (On-Site) Training
  • Training Fee: 13,000 TL
  • Training Duration: 84 Lesson Hours (Theoretical 68 Hours, Practical 16 Hours)
  • Training Quota: Each group has a capacity of 30 participants.

Who Can Attend?

Basic Mediation training can be taken by those who are graduates of a law faculty and have 5 years of professional experience. Anyone with proof of graduation from law faculty and 5 years of experience can attend the Mediation training.

Article 22, paragraph 1 of the Mediation in Legal Disputes Law No. 6325 states: "Mediation training refers to the training received after completing the law faculty, which includes basic knowledge about conducting mediation activities, communication techniques, negotiation and dispute resolution methods, behavioral psychology, and other theoretical and practical knowledge specified in the regulation."

Under the 9th Judicial Package passed by the Turkish Parliament, lawyers with 20 years of professional experience can become mediators by taking mediation training. This allows experienced lawyers to obtain certificates without an exam.

Exam Principles and Rules

Article 38

  • Those who complete mediation training must pass the written exam in accordance with the Regulation to be registered in the mediator registry.
  • Successful results remain valid until registration in the registry is completed.

Exam Application

Article 42

  • Applicants must meet the conditions in Article 30, paragraph 2 (a, b, c, ç, d) and complete the mediation training.
  • Applications are made via the Mediator Information System using e-signature or e-Government password, uploading ID document, criminal record, training certificate, and proof of law faculty graduation and 5 years of experience before the deadline.
  • Other procedures are announced in the exam notice.

Requirements for Registration

Article 30

  • Registration is made by applying to the Department via the Mediator Information System and proving eligibility.
  • Being a Turkish citizen,
  • Law faculty graduate with at least 5 years of professional experience,
  • Full legal capacity,
  • Not convicted of crimes specified in the Turkish Penal Code even if sentences have been served or pardoned (e.g., crimes against state security, constitutional order, corruption, theft, fraud, embezzlement, etc.),
  • No affiliation with terrorist organizations,
  • Completion of mediation training and passing the written exam by the Ministry.

Important Information

  • Attendance is mandatory. Absences exceeding 1/12 of total training hours will be counted as absent.
  • Certificates are issued after internal checks and sent to the addresses provided during registration via PTT Cargo. Address and contact information must be up to date.
  • Participants can write to usem@uludag.edu.tr for any questions. Emails are monitored during training.
  • Training registration and fee payment are made online. Installment payments are not available for credit cards.

Note: Refunds due to absence or cancellation after final registration may take approximately 1 month due to internal procedures. Please consider before final registration.
