Expert Witness Oath Ceremony Dates, Times, and Group Assignments Announced

In an announcement published on October 6, 2026, the Bursa Regional Board of Experts announced the oath ceremony dates, times, and group assignments for candidates applying for expert witness status for the first time whose applications were accepted either fully or partially.

Oath Ceremony Dates in Central Bursa

Candidates residing in central Bursa whose applications for inclusion on the expert witness list have been accepted will take their oaths in the Conference Hall on the 1st Floor, Block B, at the Bursa Regional Court of Justice.

The oath ceremony dates have been determined according to the last digit of each candidate’s Turkish Republic identification number, as follows:

• October 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.: Candidates whose identification number ends in 0 or 2

• October 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.: Candidates whose identification number ends in 4 or 6

• October 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.: Candidates whose identification number ends in 8

Candidates are required to arrive at the designated venue at least 15 minutes before their scheduled time and present one of their identification documents to the officials.

Oath Procedures for Candidates Outside Central Bursa

For candidates residing or carrying out their professional activities outside the jurisdiction of the central Bursa courthouse or outside Bursa province, the oath procedures will be conducted at the Judicial Justice Commission Presidencies of the relevant Courts of First Instance.

The oath ceremonies for these candidates will take place between October 12 and November 12, 2026. The relevant commissions will determine the specific dates and times.

For Those Who Have Previously Served as Expert Witnesses

Expert witnesses who have previously served in this capacity and have submitted renewal applications will not be required to take the oath again.

What Should Candidates Do If They Have a Valid Reason for Absence?

Candidates who are unable to attend the oath ceremony on their assigned date and have a documented, valid reason must submit official documents supporting their excuse to the Bursa Regional Board of Experts in writing or through UYAP by the close of business on October 16, 2026.

An alternative oath ceremony date will be arranged for candidates whose excuses are deemed acceptable.

The oath ceremony is an important stage in the process of being registered on the expert witness list. Therefore, candidates accepted onto the list for the first time should carefully check their assigned date, time, and venue.
