Training Details

  • Training Method: Face-to-Face (In-Person) Training
  • Training Dates: Will be scheduled once the minimum number of registrations is reached
  • Training Location: Bursa Uludağ University Görükle Campus
  • Number of Participants: Minimum 12, Maximum 24 participants
  • If there are less than 12 participants, the training date will be postponed. Applications above 24 participants will be transferred to second groups. Group requests can be considered for planning the training at any desired location. If requested, the training can also be held online.
  • Who Can Participate? Primarily preschool teachers, classroom teachers, Turkish Literature and foreign language teachers, teacher candidates, child development experts, drama trainers, library and museum staff, those interested in storytelling arts, and writers can participate.

Training Objective

Educators will gain knowledge and skills related to storytelling in academic and artistic areas. Participants can design their own action-based workshops based on fairy tales, combine lesson outcomes with fairy tales, and develop skills in creative writing practices using a game-based education model.

Training Content

  • Fairy Tale Storytelling

    What is fairy tale storytelling? Which techniques are used? How does one become a natural fairy tale storyteller? How can we make fairy tales our own? This is an interactive workshop based on stories and games.

  • Designing Play-Based Fairy Tale Workshops

    We approach fairy tales with movement, experiential learning, and theater-drama techniques. The activities include team work, role-playing, and design activities that develop 21st-century skills.

  • Writing Stories Through Play

    Designing creative writing processes using a play-based model. The workshop allows applying creative writing processes in social projects or family-child meetings.

  • Storytelling in Education

    Reaching lesson outcomes through storytelling, techniques of storytelling, and an overview of the hero’s journey stages. This section includes examples of how to link lesson outcomes to stories.

Important Information

  • Certificates will be issued for participants with 80% or higher attendance. No certificates will be issued for those attending less than 79%. 

  • After the training is completed, certificates will be issued after internal checks by our institution and sent to the addresses provided during registration via PTT Cargo. Please ensure that your address and contact details are up-to-date.

  • Participants can send any questions or issues to usem@uludag.edu.tr. Emails will be monitored during the training.

  • Application and payment for the training are completed online. Installments are not available for bank credit card payments.
