ISO 14064-1 GHG VERIFIER / LEAD VERIFIER TRAINING

4th Period: From March 31, 2026 – May 14, 2026, a total of 40 Hours

(On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 20:00 to 22:00)

Training Program

Program Objectives

The aim of this program is for participants to gain competence in both climate policies, carbon calculation methodologies, and ISO 14064 verification processes.

Program Outcomes

• Participants will be able to explain the concepts of sustainability and climate change, the scientific basis of climate change, and its effects on organizations.
• Participants will be able to evaluate international and national legislation on climate change, basic policy tools, and regulatory mechanisms.
• Participants will be able to apply the corporate carbon footprint calculation methodologies and classification of emission sources under the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 standard.
• Participants will be able to analyze the functioning of carbon pricing tools such as the Border Carbon Adjustment Mechanism (BCAM) and Emission Trading Systems (ETS) and their effects on organizations.
• Participants will be able to implement GHG calculation, reporting, verification, and risk analysis processes under the ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14064-3 standards.

Training Certificate Requirements

• No prerequisites are required to participate in the training.
• Participants are expected to attend at least 80% of the training.
• Participants are expected to complete practical exercises and assignments throughout the training.
• After completing the training, participants will be awarded an “ISO 14064-1 GHG Verifier / Lead Verifier Training Certificate”. The certificate will be accessible through e-Government.
• This certificate will provide the necessary infrastructure to take the Verifier / Lead Verifier exam, which will be conducted by NBC Eligibility Evaluation Training Ltd.

Verifier Exam Participation Requirements

• The exam will be conducted by NBC ELIGIBILITY EVALUATION TRAINING LTD.
• Graduates with a bachelor's degree who successfully complete this training offered by Bursa Uludağ University will be allowed to take the exam after paying the exam fee to NBC's account.
• Exam Date: Will be determined in the last week of the training.

Steps to Become a Verifier or Lead Verifier

1. Successfully complete the training (Offered by Bursa Uludağ University).
2. Pass the Verifier exam (Conducted by NBC).
3. Complete at least 20 person-days of internship at a certification body (Internship conditions and durations are separately determined by the certification body.)
