Candidates who wish to participate in this training must first have “HET1 / Level-1” and “HET 2 / Level-2” participation certificates.

Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Level-3 Training HET 3

  • Candidates who wish to take this exam must first have the “HET 2 / Level-2” participation certificate.
  • To obtain this certificate, participants must attend a total of 16 hours (2 days) of theoretical/practical training and pass the theoretical and practical (performance) exams defined below.
  • A minimum score of 70/100 from a total of 20 theoretical questions is required,
  • A minimum score of 70/100 from the practical (performance) exam is required.

Purpose of the Training

To provide knowledge and skills in maintenance and repair procedures of high-voltage systems in hybrid and electric vehicles, including required procedures, inverter power unit management, battery management and system efficiency, high-voltage air conditioning compressors, DC-DC converters, PTC heater systems, and management systems between high-pressure hydraulic braking and conventional/regenerative braking balance. Also aims to teach HV energy management for both nickel-metal hybrid and lithium-ion batteries, operation and control of inverters/converters, and control methods of 3-phase synchronous brushless drive motors/generators.

Participant Profile

Suitable for technicians who have completed Level-2 certification in repair and component replacement of hybrid/electric vehicles, high-voltage technicians, technical trainers and educators, automotive engineers, automotive designers, charging station installation personnel, vehicle inspection personnel, and technicians performing repair and replacement of HV components.

  • Resolver Operation and Monitoring,
  • Structure and Operation of Brushless Motors,
  • Electrical Regeneration, Inverter Voltage Correction and Regulation

Important Information

  • A certificate will be issued for participation of 80% or more. No certificate will be issued for 79% or less.
  • Certificates will be sent via PTT Cargo after completion and institutional checks. Contact details must be up to date.
