Agile and Scrum Training Program

This training aims to equip participants with the skills to effectively use Agile methods and the Scrum framework to enhance flexibility and efficiency in project management. It provides the essential skills needed for successful leadership in Agile-driven projects.

1. Introduction to Agile Methods

  • What is Agile and why is it important? Agile is a flexible, fast, and efficient approach to project management, focused on quickly responding to changing customer needs and continuous improvement.
  • Agile Principles and Values The Agile Manifesto and its core principles. Customer focus, working software, collaboration, and adaptability to change.
  • Agile Methods and Frameworks A brief introduction to Agile methods such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and Extreme Programming (XP).

2. Introduction to Scrum and Key Concepts

  • What is the Scrum Framework? Scrum is a framework based on Agile principles that allows for the fast and effective management of projects. It is a structured method that ensures teams work with high efficiency.
  • Definition of Scrum Roles
    • Scrum Master: Oversees that processes are followed correctly, removes obstacles, and improves team efficiency.
    • Product Owner: Defines and prioritizes product requirements, communicates with customers.
    • Scrum Team: A self-organized, disciplined, and cross-functional team.
  • Scrum Events
    • Sprint Planning: Setting goals for the Sprint.
    • Daily Scrum: Brief daily meetings to track progress.
    • Sprint Review: Reviewing results at the end of the Sprint.
    • Sprint Retrospective: Evaluating and improving processes.

3. Scrum Artifacts

  • Product Backlog: A list of all features needed for the product, managed by the Product Owner.
  • Sprint Backlog: Tasks identified for the Sprint, managed by the Scrum Team and updated daily.
  • Increment: The usable product created at the end of the Sprint.

4. Scrum Practices and Project Management

  • The Sprint Process: The detailed steps of planning, executing, and completing a Sprint, including time management, resource usage, and collaboration.
  • Comparing Kanban and Scrum: The differences and similarities between Kanban and Scrum, and when to use each method.
  • Challenges and Solutions in Scrum: Common Scrum challenges like team conflicts, time management, and changing requirements, and how to address them.

5. Advanced Topics in Agile and Scrum Project Management

  • Agile Project Management Tools: Overview of tools like Jira, Trello, and Asana for Scrum and Agile project management. How to manage Scrum processes with these tools.
  • Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Methodologies for continuous integration and continuous delivery in software development.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe): Implementing Agile in large organizations. Introduction to SAFe methodology and its use cases.

6. Hands-on Projects and Case Studies

  • Scrum Team Project Management Simulation: Participants apply Scrum framework through real-world scenarios, learning how to manage projects in teams.
  • Sprint Project Simulation: Participants work on a project in short sprints to experience how processes work and how they can be optimized.
  • Team Performance and Improvement: Monitoring and improving team performance using Agile and Scrum methods.

7. Career Guidance After Training

  • Scrum Master and Product Owner Certifications: Information on obtaining Scrum Master and Product Owner certifications after the training and the exam processes.
  • Career Opportunities and Advanced Training: How Agile and Scrum knowledge can open up career paths and how to progress in the growing Agile world.
  • Agile Leadership and Mentorship: Leading with Agile methodology, managing organizational change, and leading Agile transformation processes.

The training is open to institutional collaboration (corporate packages) and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be restructured based on the profile and needs of the participants. After mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (in-person or online) are determined, and the relevant processes are completed. Once an agreement is made, suitable dates and times for your institution’s participants and our instructors are arranged, and the training location is decided.
