WordPress Training Program Overview

The WordPress Training Program aims to equip participants with the skills to create and manage professional websites using WordPress. The training covers all steps, from site setup to SEO optimization, helping users develop successful projects in the digital world.

The training is for professional development purposes, and the certificate obtained does not replace the MYK authorization certificate in trainings where the MYK authorization certificate is mandatory.

1. Introduction: First Steps into WordPress

• What is WordPress?

WordPress is a user-friendly content management system (CMS) used to create blogs, corporate websites, e-commerce sites, and more. It is one of the most popular website platforms in the world.

• WordPress Installation:

Participants will learn how to install WordPress on a local server (XAMPP, WAMP) or live server. Both manual and cPanel installation options are taught.

2. Theme and Design Selection

• Choosing and Installing a Theme:

Participants learn how to install themes that define the site design, including free and premium options. They will also learn how to customize themes and identify SEO-friendly options.

• Customization and Page Structures:

Through the theme customization panel, participants will adjust site colors, fonts, and layout settings. They will customize sections like header, footer, and sidebar.

• Responsive Design:

Participants will learn to create mobile-friendly designs and use responsive themes to ensure the site looks flawless on any device.

3. Content Management and Page Creation

• Creating Pages and Posts:

WordPress’s content management features are introduced. Participants will learn how to add and manage various content types, such as text, images, videos, and galleries.

• Categories and Tags:

Participants learn how to create categories for better content organization and use tags to enhance content structure.

• Creating SEO-Friendly Content:

With WordPress SEO plugins (Yoast SEO, All in One SEO), participants will learn how to create SEO-optimized content, perform keyword analysis, and apply optimization techniques.

4. Plugins and Tools

• Installing and Managing Plugins:

Participants will learn how to install and use plugins that add functionality to WordPress sites (Jetpack, Contact Form 7, WooCommerce).

• SEO Plugins:

How to use SEO tools like Yoast SEO and RankMath to make WordPress sites search engine friendly will be taught.

• Security Plugins:

Participants will learn how to use security plugins (Wordfence, iThemes Security) and backup solutions to protect their website.

5. WordPress Security and Performance

• Security Basics:

WordPress security is ensured using strong passwords, two-factor authentication, site updates, and firewalls.

• Backup and Recovery:

Backup plugins will be used to ensure site data security. Participants will learn backup and recovery methods.

• Speed Optimization:

Techniques such as cache plugins, image optimization, and CDN usage will be taught to enhance the speed of WordPress sites.

6. SEO and Digital Marketing

• SEO Basics:

Participants will learn how to develop SEO strategies on WordPress, including technical SEO, content SEO, and link building. They will also learn how to make content SEO-friendly and align with Google algorithms.

• Google Analytics and Search Console:

Google Analytics and Search Console integration will help participants analyze site traffic, track SEO performance, and generate reports.

• Social Media Integration:

Participants will learn how to integrate social media with WordPress sites, share content, and develop social media marketing strategies.

7. E-Commerce with WordPress

• WooCommerce Installation:

Participants will learn how to install the WooCommerce plugin and configure basic settings to create e-commerce sites.

• Adding and Managing Products:

Participants will learn how to add physical and digital products, configure payment methods, tax settings, and shipping options using WooCommerce.

Technical knowledge will be provided on creating multilingual sites with WordPress, adding language options, and managing content.

• User Management:

Participants will learn how to manage user roles and permissions, and perform membership and content management based on user access.

• Custom Post Types and Fields:

Participants will learn advanced features, such as creating custom content types, adding custom post fields, and managing specialized content.

9. Post-Training Support and Career Opportunities

• Becoming a WordPress Expert:

Participants can pursue career opportunities in WordPress development. Information will be provided on freelance work, working in agencies, and starting their own web agency.

• Ongoing Education and Resources:

Participants will be introduced to valuable resources, blogs, YouTube channels, and communities to stay updated with the latest WordPress developments.

The training is open to corporate collaborations, and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be re-planned based on the corporate participant profile and your specific needs. Following mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (In-person, Online) will be determined, and the related processes will be completed. If an agreement is reached, the suitable dates and times for your institution's participants and our instructors, as well as the location of the training, will be determined.
