Program Purpose:

Jewelry making is the activity of shaping valuable and non-valuable metals and non-metallic raw materials into works of art using techniques that have been passed down from the past to the present. In this training, you will learn how to make valuable jewelry using traditional techniques in a jewelry workshop. This course will provide you with knowledge and vision about design, metal processing, soldering, polishing, and finishing, while also helping you develop your hand skills. Additionally, you will gain theoretical knowledge about communication and entrepreneurship.

Program Outcomes:

Participants who successfully complete the program will have the following knowledge and skills:

  • Recognition of metals commonly used in jewelry, silver alloy preparation processes, and silver fineness calculations.
  • Recognition and use of traditional tools and equipment used in the jewelry workshop.
  • Wire and sheet shaping.
  • Cutting and drilling processes of wires and sheets.
  • Metal filing.
  • Annealing and soldering metals.
  • Stone setting techniques (claw setting, prong setting).
  • Polishing and finishing the product.

Program Content:

Module 1 - General information about jewelry and jewelry workshops.

Module 2 - Information about metals commonly used in jewelry.

Module 3 - Information about metal alloy preparation and calculation methods.

Module 4 – Metal cutting 1st level (Using a saw, straight cutting).

Module 5 – Metal cutting 2nd level (Cutting geometric shapes).

Module 6 – Metal drilling, introduction to tools and practical application.

Module 7 – Design and modeling for the product to be made – Example work.

Module 8 - Information about annealing, rolling with a cylinder, and introduction of materials used – Example work.

Module 9 – Wire and sheet shaping, bending and tools used, practical application.

Module 10 – Hammering, introduction to tools used and practical application.

Module 11 – Soldering metals together – Example works 1, 2, 3.

Module 12 – Introduction of tools used in jewelry filing and practical application.

Module 13 – Introduction to precious and semi-precious stones.

Module 14 – Stone setting techniques (claw setting and prong setting), example works.

Module 15 – Introduction to materials and equipment used in polishing and finishing, practical application.

Module 16 - Entrepreneurship and Communication.

Participants will learn the steps of making precious jewelry and gems through both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

Training Requirements:

The necessary tools and equipment for the above-mentioned applications must be provided, such as saws, various saw blades, files, pliers, metal scissors, various sandpapers, metal plates for practical applications, and wires of various sizes along with semi-precious stones.

The training is open to corporate cooperation, and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be re-planned according to the corporate participant profile and your needs. As a result of mutual discussions, the scope of the training and the method of the training (Face-to-Face, Online) are determined, and the relevant processes are completed. If an agreement is reached, the appropriate days and times for your institution's participants and our instructors, as well as the location where the training will take place, are determined.
