Program Objective

The Geographic Information Systems Training Program provides knowledge and skills in map making, data analysis, and geographic data management, enabling participants to use Geographic Information Systems at a professional level.

Training Content

Introduction to Geographic Information Systems:

  • Basic principles and components of GIS.
  • Applications and usage areas of GIS.
  • Introduction to GIS software and features (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.).

Geographic Data Collection and Management:

  • Collection of geographic data:
  • GPS, remote sensing, and map data.
  • Data formats and database management.
  • Data organization, storage, and access.

Map Design and Analysis:

  • Principles of map design.
  • Spatial analysis techniques:
  • Buffer, overlay, network analysis.
  • Map visualization and presentation techniques.

Data Analysis and Statistical Methods:

  • Analysis of spatial data.
  • Basic statistical methods used in GIS.
  • Data accuracy, error analysis, and modeling.

The training is open for corporate collaboration (institution/company packages) and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be replanned according to the profile and needs of corporate participants. The scope and method of the training (Face-to-Face, Online) are determined through mutual discussions and relevant procedures are completed. Upon agreement, the suitable days and times for the participants from your institution and our instructors, as well as the training location, are determined.
