The Geographic Information Systems Training Program provides knowledge and skills in map creation, data analysis, and geographic data management, enabling participants to use GIS at a professional level.

 

The training is for professional development purposes, and the certificate obtained does not replace the MYK authorization certificate in trainings where the MYK authorization certificate is mandatory.

    • Basic principles and components of GIS

    • Applications and uses of GIS

    • Introduction to GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)

  • Geographic Data Collection and Management

    • Geographic data collection methods: GPS, remote sensing, and map data

    • Data formats and database management

    • Organizing, storing, and accessing data

  • Map Design and Analysis

    • Principles of map design

    • Spatial analysis techniques: Buffer, overlay, network analysis

    • Map visualization and presentation techniques

  • Data Analysis and Statistical Methods

    • Analysis of spatial data

    • Basic statistical methods used in GIS

    • Data accuracy, error analysis, and modeling

 

The training is open to corporate partnerships (institution/company legal entities) and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be re-planned according to the corporate participant profile and your needs. After mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (In-person, Online) will be determined, and the relevant processes will be completed. If an agreement is reached, suitable dates and times for your institution’s participants and our instructors will be set, along with the location of the training.
