Food Literacy Training check out our education.

The Plant Physiology Training Program helps you understand plant growth, development, and how plants respond to environmental factors. It is an ideal training opportunity for those looking to increase productivity in agriculture and horticulture.

The training is for professional development purposes, and the certificate obtained does not replace the MYK authorization certificate in trainings where the MYK authorization certificate is mandatory.

Fundamentals of Plant Physiology

  • What is plant physiology?
  • Plant life cycle and basic functions
  • Plant cell structure and functions
  • Energy production and photosynthesis mechanisms

Growth and Development Mechanisms

  • Plant growth and development
  • Cell division and elongation
  • Plant hormones (Auxin, Gibberellin, Cytokinin, Ethylene, Abscisic Acid)
  • Effects of hormones on growth and development

Water and Nutrient Uptake

  • Water uptake and transport
  • Role of roots in water absorption
  • Nutrient absorption and transport
  • Osmotic pressure and effects of water balance on plants

Photosynthesis and Energy Conversion

  • Photosynthesis mechanisms and light reactions
  • Carbon fixation and the Calvin cycle
  • Energy production and plant metabolism
  • Factors affecting photosynthetic efficiency

Environmental Factors and Plant Responses

  • Effects of light, temperature, water, and nutrient deficiencies on plants
  • Plant responses to environmental stress
  • Adaptations to low temperatures, drought, and excess water
  • Plant defense mechanisms against stress

Plant Physiology and Agricultural Applications

  • Relationship between plant health and productivity
  • Water and nutrient management in agriculture
  • Advanced irrigation and fertilization techniques
  • Plant physiology and sustainable agriculture

The training is open to institutional collaborations (package for institution/company legal entities), and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be reorganized according to your institutional participant profile and needs. As a result of mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (face-to-face / online) are determined and the relevant processes are completed. In case of mutual agreement, the date, time, and location of the training are planned in line with the availability of your institution’s participants and our instructors.
