Qualified Calculations Based on Consumer Legislation Training is a practical program designed for participants who wish to specialize in expert witnessing related to financial disputes arising from consumer transactions under Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers and its related regulations.

Participants will learn qualified calculation methods on topics such as defective goods and services, installment sales, prepaid housing contracts, credit and insurance relations, and penalty clause and interest calculations. The program also provides skills in expert report preparation, case analysis, and practical file review.


Training Information

Method: Face-to-face
Duration: 24 Hours (4 Days × 6 Hours)
Venue: Bursa Uludağ University Görükle Campus, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Block C
Participants: Minimum 20 – Maximum 30
Fee: 5,000 TL (including 10% VAT)
Certificate: Certificate of Participation is awarded to those with at least 80% attendance.

In other provinces, the training can also be conducted face-to-face if the minimum participation requirement is met.


Purpose of the Training

The aim of this training is to enable experts and legal professionals to conduct accurate, objective, and legally compliant calculations in financial disputes arising from consumer law.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in calculating interest, compensation, penalty clauses, and depreciation values according to legal standards.

Day 1

  • Introduction to Consumer Legislation

  • General principles of Law No. 6502

  • Types of consumer contracts

  • Concepts of defective goods and services

Day 2

  • Installment sales, prepaid housing, credit, and insurance contracts

  • Right of withdrawal and refund processes

  • Calculation of interest, penalty clauses, and compensation

Day 3

  • Applied Calculation Workshop I

  • Analysis based on Consumer Arbitration Board decisions

  • Evaluation criteria in expert reports

  • Examples from Supreme Court and appellate decisions

Day 4

  • Applied Calculation Workshop II

  • Reporting exercises using real case studies

  • Report writing techniques

  • Ethics and impartiality principles in expert witnessing


Learning Outcomes

By the end of the program, participants will:

  • Understand calculation methods in consumer-related disputes,

  • Be familiar with the standards used in expert reports,

  • Gain technical analysis skills for dispute resolution,

  • Develop the competence to prepare valid expert reports for judicial authorities.
