Plasterer Development Program check out our education.

This training is for professional development, and the certificate obtained does not replace the MYK (Turkish Qualifications Framework) Authorization Certificate in mandatory training programs requiring an MYK certificate.

Training Objective

The Geotechnical Engineering Training equips participants with the ability to produce safe and economical solutions for infrastructure and superstructure projects. By conducting soil analyses, participants will acquire the competence to make critical decisions in project processes. Additionally, the training provides opportunities to convert theoretical knowledge into practice through field-based examples.

Training Content

  • Introduction to Geotechnical Engineering and Basic Concepts
  • Classification of soils, engineering properties, and their role in underground structures.
  • Physical and Mechanical Properties of Soils
  • Calculation of parameters such as water content, specific gravity, void ratio, and unit weight.
  • Soil Classification Systems
  • USCS (Unified Soil Classification System) and ASTM soil classifications.
  • Water and Water Movement in Soils
  • Permeability, capillary rise, groundwater effects, and drainage methods.
  • Consolidation and Settlement Analysis
  • Primary and secondary settlement, consolidation tests, and time-dependent displacement calculations.
  • Shear Strength and Shear Resistance
  • Strength parameters of soils, Mohr-Coulomb theory, triaxial and direct shear tests.
  • Bearing Capacity Analysis
  • Terzaghi, Meyerhof, and other classical bearing capacity theories; calculation methods for foundation systems.
  • Soil Improvement Techniques
  • Compaction, drainage, geotextile applications, jet grout, and stone column methods.
  • Laboratory and Field Tests
  • Application and interpretation of basic tests such as Proctor, CBR, SPT, CPT.
  • Geotechnical Applications and Example Projects
  • Practice in calculation, analysis, and reporting based on real projects.

The training is open to institutional collaborations (package for institution/company legal entities), and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be reorganized according to your institutional participant profile and needs. As a result of mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (face-to-face / online) are determined and the relevant processes are completed. In case of mutual agreement, the date, time, and location of the training are planned in line with the availability of your institution’s participants and our instructors.
