The training is intended for professional development, and the certificate obtained does not replace the MYK authorization certificate in trainings where it is mandatory.

Knitting Technology Training provides participants with the opportunity to gain technical knowledge about knitting machines, stitch structures, and production processes. This allows specialization in flexible, innovative, and functional fabric production in the textile industry.

Training Content

  • Introduction to knitting technology
    • What is knitting? Basic concepts, history, and its place in textile production.
  • Types of knitting
    • Structural differences and applications of weft knitting, warp knitting, and tricot systems.
  • Knitting machines and working principles
    • Introduction to circular, flat, and warp knitting machines, including mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Stitch structures and knit patterns
    • Introduction to single jersey, double jersey, rib, interlock, pique, and jacquard patterns.
  • Effect of yarn properties on knitting quality
    • The contribution of yarn type, fineness, twist, and elasticity to fabric performance.
  • Production process of knitted fabrics
    • Raw fabric production, inspection, classification, and evaluation of fabric surface properties.
  • Quality control and error analysis
    • Knitted fabric defects, control methods, and corrective production measures.
  • Functional and technical knitted fabrics
    • Special knitting solutions for sportswear, healthcare textiles, and industrial applications.
  • Sustainable knitting technologies
    • Energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmentally friendly knitting using sustainable yarns and machines.
  • Hands-on knitting workshop and industry examples
    • Practice with knitting machines, analysis of fabric samples, and success stories from the industry.

The training is open to institutional collaborations (package for institution/company legal entities), and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be reorganized according to your institutional participant profile and needs. As a result of mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (face-to-face / online) are determined and the relevant processes are completed. In case of mutual agreement, the date, time, and location of the training are planned in line with the availability of your institution’s participants and our instructors.
