Program Objective

The Woven Fabric Analysis Training provides participants with the skills to identify different weave types and analyze warp and weft systems. This enables the development of technical competence and professional expertise in textile design, quality control, and production processes.

  • What is woven fabric analysis? Its purpose, applications, and importance in textile production.
• Recognition of basic weave structures
  • Examination of structural characteristics of basic weave types such as plain, twill, and satin.
• Analysis of warp and weft systems
  • Determining yarn directions, density measurements, warp-weft density, and interlacing points.
• Preparation of weave reports
  • Drawing weave reports from woven fabrics, analysis methods, and graphical presentation techniques.
• Microscopic examination of fabrics
  • Enlarging fabric samples to examine yarn direction, fiber structure, and interlacing points.
• Pattern analysis and jacquard weaves
  • Analysis of complex pattern structures and evaluation of jacquard weave samples.
• Effect of yarn properties on analysis
  • Impact of yarn thickness, twist, type, and material properties on the weave structure.
• Evaluation of fabric properties
  • Interpreting results based on fabric behavior, permeability, elasticity, and intended use.
• Quality control and defect analysis
  • Identification, classification of weaving defects, and quality control methods.
• Practical analysis exercises
  • Individual practice on various fabric samples, improving interpretation and reporting skills.

The training is open for institutional cooperation (packages for institutions/companies), and individual applications are not accepted. The content can be adjusted according to the participant profile and your needs. After mutual agreements, the training scope and method (Face-to-Face, Online) are determined and relevant processes are completed. Upon agreement, the suitable dates and times for your participants and the training location are arranged with our instructors.
