Training Duration: 30 Hours
Training Dates: August 18–22 | 09:00 – 15:00
Training Venue: Consensus Mediation Center

Training Objective

Although social security lawsuits are among the most common cases before the courts, the number of experts in this field remains limited. The complex legal structure of social-insurance law, full of circulars and regulations, often discourages practitioners.

Many lawyers, expert witnesses, and physicians misunderstand key concepts such as disability vs. permanent incapacity, or loss of earning capacity in occupation vs. general working capacity. Similar confusion is also seen in expert reports. Courts frequently experience difficulties in finding qualified social-insurance experts.

The Department of Expert Witness Affairs (Ministry of Justice) emphasizes merit and professional competence in its registry decisions:

“Regional boards shall assess applicants’ qualifications under Article 10 of the Expert Witness Law and select the most competent candidates based on professional experience, in-service training, and relevant expertise certificates.”

Responding to the sector’s demand, this training has been designed with contributions from an academic specialist and an experienced SGK (Social Security Institution) expert witness to build professional capacity in advanced social-security-related calculations.
