The Raw Milk Analysis Training offers professionals in the dairy production chain the opportunity to learn scientific analysis methods through hands-on practice. Participants gain the ability to evaluate the hygienic quality of raw milk and contribute to safe and high-quality production processes.

This training is designed for professional development purposes, and the certificate obtained does not substitute the MYK qualification certificate in programs where such certification is mandatory.

Raw Milk Analysis Training – Course Content

  • 1. What is Raw Milk? and Its Basic Characteristics: Definition and composition of raw milk, importance of producing high-quality raw milk, relationship between milk hygiene and food safety.
  • 2. Milk Sampling Techniques: Sampling tools and preparation, proper sampling procedures, ensuring analysis reliability through correct sampling methods.
  • 3. Physical Analyses: Evaluation of milk color, odor, and texture, freezing point measurement, density measurement using a lactodensimeter.
  • 4. Chemical Analyses: Determination of fat, protein, lactose, and dry matter content, pH measurement and acidity testing, alcohol test and antibiotic residue detection.
  • 5. Microbiological Analyses: Total bacterial count, somatic cell count, coliform and Salmonella analysis.
  • 6. Rapid Analysis Methods and Equipment Usage: Introduction to Lactoscan and automatic analyzers, field applications with rapid test kits, device calibration and data interpretation.
  • 7. Evaluation of Analysis Results: Legal threshold values according to food regulations, precautionary measures in case of non-compliance, reporting and documentation procedures.
  • 8. Practical Laboratory Sessions: Hands-on physical, chemical, and microbiological tests, real sample evaluations, individual participant practice and reporting.

The training is open to institutional collaborations (package for institution/company legal entities), and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be reorganized according to your institutional participant profile and needs. As a result of mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (face-to-face / online) are determined and the relevant processes are completed. In case of mutual agreement, the date, time, and location of the training are planned in line with the availability of your institution’s participants and our instructors.
