The Dairy Cattle Breeding Training equips breeders aiming to build high-yield herds with modern care, feeding, and health management techniques. Participants gain practical knowledge and skills to improve milk quality and profitability in dairy production.

This training is designed for professional development purposes, and the certificate obtained does not substitute the MYK qualification certificate in programs where such certification is mandatory.

  • Introduction to Dairy Farming and Sector Overview
    An introduction to dairy farming practices in Turkey and worldwide, highlighting its economic importance, sector structure, and development potential.
  • High-Yield Dairy Breeds and Characteristics
    Detailed overview of breeds such as Holstein, Jersey, and Montofon, focusing on their milk yield, durability, and adaptability to various farming conditions.
  • Housing Design and Animal Welfare
    Covers proper housing conditions, ventilation systems, flooring structure, comfort areas, and applications promoting animal welfare.
  • Feeding Management and Feed Rations
    Teaches feeding plans and ration formulation for calves, heifers, and lactating cows based on age and production level, including feed types and nutritional balance.
  • Reproduction and Fertility Management in Dairy Cattle
    Explains optimal insemination timing, factors affecting fertility, pregnancy monitoring, and postpartum care for sustainable herd productivity.
  • Milking Techniques and Milking Hygiene
    Covers manual and machine milking methods, udder health, mastitis prevention, and hygiene standards to ensure milk quality and animal comfort.
  • Herd Management and Record Keeping
    Focuses on animal identification, birth, vaccination, health, and milk yield record management for efficient and traceable operations.
  • Calf Care and Young Animal Rearing
    Includes feeding programs, colostrum management, and disease prevention from birth to weaning, ensuring strong and healthy young stock.

The training is open to institutional collaborations (package for institution/company legal entities), and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be reorganized according to your institutional participant profile and needs. As a result of mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (face-to-face / online) are determined and the relevant processes are completed. In case of mutual agreement, the date, time, and location of the training are planned in line with the availability of your institution’s participants and our instructors.
