Legal Writing Training

The Legal Writing Training provides participants with the skills to prepare legal documents with the correct terminology and in accordance with legal procedures. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their professional credibility by communicating effectively during legal proceedings.

1. Basic Principles of Legal Writing

  • The purpose, structure, language, and format rules of legal writing.
  • Official correspondence rules and writing techniques.
  • Procedures to follow when preparing petitions, letters, minutes, and other similar documents.

2. Petition Writing Techniques

  • Formatting, content, language, and style rules for petitions; sample petition exercises.

3. Writing Minutes and Reports

  • Writing minutes for meetings, investigations, hearings, and other environments, and legal validity aspects.

4. Writing Notices, Objection Records, and Warning Letters

  • Correct preparation of essential legal documents used in communications between parties.

5. Language and Terminology in Legal Documents

  • Use of effective and simple legal language; expression forms that do not lead to misinterpretation.

6. Writing to Judicial Bodies and Public Institutions

  • Important aspects to consider when writing to courts, bar associations, and administrative authorities.

7. Legal Writing in Electronic Environments

  • Sending petitions via UYAP, official correspondence rules via email.

8. Writing Errors and Their Legal Consequences

  • Negative outcomes of writing mistakes and how to avoid them.

9. Practical Writing Workshop

  • Practical legal writing exercises using real court case examples.

This training is open to institutional collaborations (for legal entities such as institutions/companies), and individual applications are not accepted. The content of the training can be reorganized according to the profile and needs of institutional participants. After mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (In-Person, Online) will be determined, and the relevant processes will be completed. Upon agreement, suitable days and times for your participants and our instructors will be arranged, and the training location will be determined.
