Training Information

This training provides professionals aiming to increase quality and efficiency in mold production with technical expertise in material knowledge and heat treatment applications. It also offers key advantages such as reducing manufacturing costs, extending product lifespan, and minimizing error rates.

This training is intended for professional development. The certificate obtained does not replace the MYK license required for trainings where an MYK certificate is mandatory.

Training Content

  • Types of Materials Used in Mold Production: Structural properties and applications of steel, aluminum, cast iron, and composite materials.
  • Material Selection Criteria and Performance Evaluation: Wear resistance, hardness, machinability, thermal conductivity, and cost analysis-based methods.
  • Fundamentals and Objectives of Heat Treatment: Heating and cooling principles, internal structural changes, and effects on material properties.
  • Hardening Processes (Quenching with Water and Oil): Surface and volumetric hardening techniques, temperature control, and cooling mediums.
  • Annealing, Tempering, and Normalizing: Stress relief, softening, homogenization processes and their roles in production.
  • Surface Hardening Techniques: Comparison of flame hardening, induction hardening, and nitriding methods.
  • Heat Treatment Furnaces and Equipment: Electric furnaces, gas-atmosphere systems, and vacuum heat treatment devices.
  • Dimensional Changes and Distortion in Heat Treatment: Methods to prevent material deformation, measurement techniques, and quality control measures.
  • Applications to Extend Mold Life: Sustainable production quality through correct material–heat treatment combinations.
  • Applied Laboratory and Workshop Studies: Heat treatment applications on sample parts, microstructure observation, and hardness measurements.

This program is offered exclusively to corporate entities (institutions/companies) and is not open to individual applications. Training content can be tailored to the profile and needs of corporate participants. Following mutual discussions, the scope and delivery method (Face-to-Face or Online) will be finalized. Once agreed, schedules will be set according to the availability of your institution’s participants and our instructors.(MY)
