Training Duration: 24 Hours (6 Days × 4 Hours)

Training Venue: Bursa Uludağ University Görükle Campus, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Block C
In 80 other provinces outside Bursa, if the minimum number of participants is reached, face-to-face training will also be scheduled on planned dates in your city.

Number of Participants: Minimum 20, maximum 30 participants per group.

• If fewer than 20 participants apply, the fees will be refunded, and the training will not be held.

• For groups with more than 30 participants, new groups will be created based on registration priority.

• Training venue, schedule, and times will be communicated to participants in advance via WhatsApp.

Training Fee: 5,000 TL (including 10% VAT)

Certificate: A Certificate of Participation will be issued to those who attend at least 80% of the program.

Training Objective

The purpose of this program is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to determine the economic value of gold, precious stones, and jewelry products in an objective, scientific, and standardized manner.

Additionally, it aims to equip individuals who work in the jewelry sector or aspire to build a career in this field with practical expertise in processing precious metals and stones, jewelry design, production techniques, and sales skills.

Important:
This training has been designed to support the professional development and knowledge enhancement of experts who meet the qualifications announced by the Department of Expertise, including the requirement of at least 5 years of professional experience in the relevant field.

The certificate obtained from this training cannot be used as documentary proof of 5 years of work experience in this field.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

• Accurately appraise all types of gold jewelry, precious metals, gemstones, and jewelry products, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern jewelry expertise.

• Identify jewelry materials,

• Understand jewelry design and production processes,

• Learn basic practices such as handcrafting, stone setting, and polishing,

• Use digital tools specific to the jewelry sector,

• Develop professional ethics, customer relations, and sales skills.

Curriculum – Basic Jewelry and Precious Metals Appraisal Training (6 Days / 24 Hours)

Day 1: Introduction to Jewelry and Basic Knowledge (4 hours)

• History and significance of jewelry making

• Types of jewelry and key terminology

• Introduction to gold, silver, and other precious metals

• General properties of gemstones used in jewelry

• Basic equipment and occupational safety

Day 2: Properties and Processing of Precious Metals (4 hours)

• Gold standards and values (carat, fineness concepts)

• Properties of other metals (silver, platinum, palladium)

• Metal processing techniques (casting, forging, welding, soldering)

• Metal analysis methods

• Sample inspection and testing techniques

Day 3: Gemstones and Diamond Knowledge (4 hours)

• Classification and characteristics of gemstones

• What is a diamond? Cut, carat, color, and clarity criteria

• Distinguishing genuine from synthetic stones

• Stone certification and its importance

• Basic appraisal methods and gemstone reading

Day 4: Jewelry Appraisal and Market Knowledge (4 hours)

• Jewelry appraisal criteria

• Pricing of gold and diamonds

• Market trends and factors affecting value loss

• Practical appraisal based on customer demands

• Key considerations in buying and selling jewelry

Day 5: Practical Appraisal and Evaluation Techniques (4 hours)

• Hands-on jewelry inspection and appraisal applications

• Use of laboratory equipment

• Report preparation and documentation

• Common problems and proposed solutions

• General evaluation and Q&A

Day 6 (Optional, 4 hours): Advanced Techniques and Current Trends

• Jewelry repair and maintenance

• Design and trend analysis

• Introduction to digital appraisal systems

• Customer relations and ethical principles

• Certificate exam or distribution of participation certificates

• A Certificate of Participation will be issued to those with at least 80% attendance.

• Certificates will be sent via PTT Cargo after training.
