Training Information

  • Training Method: Face-to-Face (In-person) Training
  • Training Date: To be scheduled when sufficient pre-registrations are reached.
  • Training Duration: 24 Hours (6 Days * 4 Hours)
  • Training Location: Bursa Uludağ University Görükle Campus
  • Training Process: A WhatsApp group will be created near the training date and all information will be shared there.
  • Training Quota: Minimum 20, maximum 30 participants. If the minimum number of participants is reached in the 80 provinces outside Bursa, face-to-face training will be planned in your province. Training will not be held below 20 participants, and fees will be refunded. For more than 30 applicants, a new group will be formed.
  • Participation Certificate: Provided for 80% or higher attendance.

Important Information

The training is organized to provide knowledge and skills for objectively and scientifically determining the economic value of all types of gold, precious stones, and jewelry products according to standards.

It also aims to provide practical knowledge and competency to individuals working in or aiming for a career in the jewelry sector, regarding processing precious metals and stones, jewelry design, production techniques, and sales skills.

Training Content (6 Days / 24 Hours)

Day 1: Introduction to Jewelry and Basic Knowledge (4 hours)

  • History and importance of jewelry
  • Types of jewelry and basic terms
  • Introduction to gold, silver, and other precious metals
  • General characteristics of gemstones used in jewelry
  • Basic equipment and work safety

Day 2: Properties and Processing of Precious Metals (4 hours)

  • Gold grades and values (karat, fineness)
  • Properties of other metals (silver, platinum, palladium)
  • Metal processing techniques (casting, forging, welding, soldering)
  • Metal analysis methods
  • Sample examination and testing methods

Day 3: Gemstones and Diamond Knowledge (4 hours)

  • Classification and characteristics of gemstones
  • What is a diamond? Cut, carat, color, and clarity criteria
  • Distinguishing stones and detecting fake stones
  • Certification of stones and its importance
  • Basic valuation methods and reading stones

Day 4: Jewelry Valuation and Market Knowledge (4 hours)

  • Jewelry valuation criteria
  • Determining gold and diamond prices
  • Market trends and depreciation factors
  • Valuation applications according to customer requests
  • Important considerations in buying and selling

Day 5: Practical Valuation and Assessment Techniques (4 hours)

  • Practical jewelry examination and valuation exercises
  • Use of laboratory equipment
  • Report preparation and documentation
  • Common problems and solutions
  • General assessment and Q&A

Day 6 (Optional, 4 hours): Advanced Techniques and Current Trends

  • Jewelry repair and maintenance
  • Design and trend analysis
  • Introduction to digital valuation systems
  • Customer relations and ethics
  • Certificate exam or participation certificate distribution

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the program, participants will have the knowledge and skills to correctly calculate the value of all gold jewelry, precious metals, gemstones, and jewelry products based on both traditional craftsmanship knowledge and modern jewelry techniques.

They will also be able to identify materials used in jewelry,
Understand design and production processes,
Learn basic practices such as handcrafting, stone setting, polishing,
Use sector-specific digital tools,
And improve professional ethics, customer relations, and sales skills.
