Training Information

Training Objective

Published and enacted on April 7, 2016, the "Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698" aims to protect individuals’ fundamental rights and freedoms, primarily the privacy of private life, in the processing of personal data, and regulates the obligations and rules to be fulfilled by real and legal persons processing personal data.

According to this law, individuals and institutions that process personal data are subject not only to administrative fines but also to imprisonment under the Turkish Penal Code. Specifically, violators of personal data are subject to 1 to 3 years of imprisonment.

Furthermore, a person who obtains data unlawfully may face 2 to 4 years of imprisonment. Administrative fines may range from 5,000 TL to 1,000,000 TL, depending on the unfulfilled article(s).

Training Process

• Training will be broadcast online (live) via the internet.
• To participate, you must have internet access and a suitable internet plan in your environment.
• For using the training system, you need a device (smartphone, tablet, preferably a computer) with camera and microphone hardware connected to the internet.
• Participants will log into the system with the instructor at the specified lesson hours with cameras and microphones on.
• Before training starts, participants will receive their username and password via email.
• After the training is completed, the system will remain open for 7 more days. On the 7th day at 23:00, the system will close completely.
• A WhatsApp group will be created where only the admin sends messages to provide support during the training.
• Participants can send all questions and issues to usem@uludag.edu.tr. Emails will be monitored in real-time during training.

Important Information

• Certificates will be issued to participants who attend 80% or more of the total training. Participants with 79% or less attendance will not receive any document.
• After training completion, certificates will be issued following internal checks and sent via PTT Cargo to the addresses provided during registration. Address and contact information must be up to date.
• Participants can send questions to usem@uludag.edu.tr. Emails will be monitored in real-time during training.
• Training registration and fees are paid online. Installment payments are not available for credit cards.

Note: In case of non-attendance or cancellation by participants with confirmed registration, refunds may take approximately 1 month due to internal correspondence in revolving fund processes. Please consider this before final registration.
