Functional Foods training is an emerging field in food science. This program helps you explore the benefits of foods and their impact on preventing diseases.

This training is for professional development purposes, and the certificate obtained does not replace the MYK authorization certificate in trainings where the MYK authorization certificate is mandatory.

Functional Foods Training – Course Content

  • Introduction to Functional Foods: Definition and history of functional foods, health benefits of functional foods.
  • Types of Functional Foods: Probiotics and prebiotics, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Effects of Functional Foods on the Body: Effects on the immune system, cardiovascular health and metabolism, digestive health and gastrointestinal system.
  • Effects of Functional Foods on Cancer and Other Diseases: Functional foods in cancer prevention, preventing metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity.
  • Incorporating Functional Foods into Daily Diet: Diet planning with functional foods, practical tips for healthy eating.
  • The Future of Functional Foods: Emerging functional foods, the role of functional foods in the future.

The training is open to institutional collaborations (package for institution/company legal entities), and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be reorganized according to your institutional participant profile and needs. As a result of mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (face-to-face / online) are determined and the relevant processes are completed. In case of mutual agreement, the date, time, and location of the training are planned in line with the availability of your institution’s participants and our instructors.
