Information: According to the announcement by the Ministry of Justice Expert Witness Department, for expert applications made through the UYAP Expert Portal, additional time has been granted, and applications can be made until February 16, 2026 (23:59).
Candidates who have completed their registration cannot additionally upload the participation certificate they received this term. The training can be taken for informational or developmental purposes. Candidates who have not yet registered can upload their participation certificate when applying.
Training Information
- Training Method: Face-to-Face (In-person) Training
- Training Date: Will be scheduled once sufficient pre-registrations are received.
- Training Duration: 24 Hours (3 Days * 8 Hours)
- Training Location: Bursa Uludağ University Görükle Campus
- Training Process: A WhatsApp group will be created closer to the training date, and all announcements will be made through this channel.
- Training Quota: Minimum 20, maximum 30 participants. If a minimum number of participants is reached in 80 provinces outside Bursa, face-to-face training will be planned in your province. Training will not be scheduled with fewer than 20 participants; fees will be refunded. If more than 30 apply, a new group will be created.
- Participation Certificate: Issued for attendance of 80% or more.
Important Information
The training is organized to enhance professional development and knowledge accumulation for individuals meeting the following criteria set by the Expert Witness Department in the field of Basic Expert Witness training: at least 5 years of practical work experience in the relevant field and qualifications listed in the link below.
The certificate obtained at the end of the training cannot be used as proof of the 5-year practical work requirement in this field.

Training Objective
Consumer law has become one of the most litigated areas in recent years. Issues such as defective goods and services, contract breaches, withdrawal rights, delay penalties, and compensation calculations require technical knowledge for both parties and resolution authorities.
The purpose of this training is to equip participants with the ability to perform material calculations arising from consumer legislation correctly, quickly, and in compliance with the law. The program is prepared based on current legal regulations, practical calculation methods, and precedent court decisions.
Training Content
Day 1 – Introduction to Consumer Legislation and Basic Concepts
- Scope of consumer law and legislation
- Key provisions of Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection
- Types of consumer contracts (sales, services, distance sales, etc.)
- Concept of defective goods/services, rights and obligations
- Recent changes in legislation and their practical implications
Day 2 – Material Claims and Calculation Methods
- Refunds and price reduction calculations for defective goods/services
- Refund and compensation calculations in case of withdrawal
- Delay penalties, default, and contract breach calculations
- Types of interest (legal, commercial, default) and calculation techniques
- Calculation examples for different scenarios
Day 3 – Court Decisions and Practical Exercises
- Review of precedent court decisions
- Calculation methods used in expert reports
- Working on sample case files
- Practical calculation of different compensation types
- Interactive Q&A sessions with participants
Day 4 – Advanced Applications and General Evaluation
- Practice with complex calculation scenarios
- Identification and correction of calculation errors
- Impact of future legislation changes on calculation methods
- General review, case analyses, and participant presentations
- Program evaluation and closing
Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the training, participants will have the knowledge and skills to perform material calculations based on consumer legislation accurately, systematically, and in compliance with the law. They will gain technical expertise ranging from refunds for defective goods and services to compensation calculations after withdrawal, and from delay penalties to applying interest rates.
Additionally, they will understand the logic behind calculation methods used in precedent court decisions and be able to adapt them to their own work, developing solution methods suitable for different scenarios. Practical exercises with real case examples will ensure participants gain skills ready for immediate application, not just theoretical knowledge.
