The training is intended for professional development purposes, and the certificate obtained does not replace the MYK authorization certificate for trainings where MYK authorization is required.

Training Content

  • Introduction to glass shaping: Definition of glass, history, areas of use, and general structure of shaping methods.
  • Types and properties of glass: Technical properties of sodium silicate glass, borosilicate glass, leaded glass, and other types.
  • Hot glass shaping techniques: Glass melting, glass blowing, hot molding, and kiln techniques.
  • Cold glass processing techniques: Glass cutting, grinding, engraving, sandblasting, and polishing applications.
  • Using molds in glass: Shaping methods with ceramic, metal, or plaster molds.
  • Decorative glass applications: Use of colored glass, painting on glass, stained glass, and mosaic techniques.
  • Equipment used for glass shaping: Kilns, blowing pipes, hand tools, and safety equipment.
  • Safety and occupational health: Precautions to be taken in glass workshops and correct use of equipment.
  • Design and production process: Sketching, model creation, and production planning of glass objects.
  • Project work and hands-on production: Participants produce and exhibit their own original designs.

The training is open to institutional collaborations (package for institution/company legal entities), and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be reorganized according to your institutional participant profile and needs. As a result of mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (face-to-face / online) are determined and the relevant processes are completed. In case of mutual agreement, the date, time, and location of the training are planned in line with the availability of your institution’s participants and our instructors.
