Training Information

Training Method: Face-to-Face

Training Date and Time: Specified in group names.

Training Duration: 24 Hours (4 Days × 6 Hours)

Training Venue: Bursa Uludağ University Görükle Campus, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Block C
In 80 other provinces outside Bursa, if the minimum number of participants is reached, face-to-face training will also be scheduled on planned dates in your city.

Number of Participants: Minimum 20, maximum 30 participants per group.

  • If fewer than 20 participants apply, the fees will be refunded, and the training will not be held.

  • For groups with more than 30 participants, new groups will be created based on registration priority.

  • Training venue, schedule, and times will be communicated to participants in advance via WhatsApp.

Training Fee: 5,000 TL (including 10% VAT)

Certificate: A Certificate of Participation will be issued to those who attend at least 80% of the program.


Training Objective

The purpose of this training is to enable participants to correctly and lawfully perform calculations required in legal disputes arising under Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098, such as damages, compensation, interest, and contract termination. Throughout the training, participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical calculation and reporting skills through real case files.

Important:
This training is organized to support the professional development and knowledge enhancement of experts who meet the qualifications announced by the Department of Expertise, including the requirement of at least 5 years of professional experience in the field.

The certificate obtained from this training cannot be used as documentary proof of 5 years of work experience in this field.

3. Training Content (Course Plan)

Day 1:

  • Introduction to the Law of Obligations

    • Structure and key concepts of the Turkish Code of Obligations

    • Types of contracts and performance obligations

    • Types of liability: fault, force majeure, unjust enrichment

  • Compensation and Damage Concepts

    • Distinction between pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages

    • Criteria for calculating compensation

    • Damages in cases of impossibility of performance and termination of obligations

Day 2:

  • Breach and Termination of Contracts

    • Disputes in sales, lease, service, and agency contracts

    • Early termination, penalty clauses, and default provisions

    • Applied termination calculations

  • Interest Calculations

    • Default interest and statutory interest

    • Interest applications in commercial transactions

    • Determining start date and interest rates

Day 3:

  • Torts and Compensation

    • Definition of torts and conditions of liability

    • Role of experts in damage calculations

    • Compensation elements: medical expenses, loss of earnings, moral damages

  • Relation of the Law of Obligations to Loss of Support and Bodily Injury Calculations

    • Distinction between insurance compensation and differential compensation

    • Impact of the Law of Obligations on loss of income and permanent incapacity calculations

Day 4:

  • Applied Calculations and Report Writing

    • Sample calculations using real case files

    • Examples of compensation, interest, and penalty clause calculations

    • Writing expert reports: explanations, formulas, and legal justifications


4. Learning Outcomes

  • Ability to calculate damages and compensation based on the Law of Obligations

  • Specialization in areas such as interest, contract termination, and torts

  • Ability to prepare expert witness reports in line with court precedents

  • Practical calculation and reporting skills using real case files

  • Integrated technical knowledge of legal and financial concepts
