Purpose of the Training
The aim of this program is to train specialists who can manage the employment processes of individuals with special needs in a scientific, ethical, and systematic manner.
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Recognize individuals with special needs,
- Conduct job and individual analyses,
- Create adaptation and support plans,
- Communicate effectively with employers,
- Manage performance and monitoring processes.
Target Audience
In recent years, the employment of individuals with special needs has increased in Türkiye. There is a need for qualified human resources to ensure workplace adaptation, establish healthy communication between employers and employees, and achieve sustainable employment. However, many professionals currently working in this field (HR specialists, job and career counselors, guidance teachers, psychologists, social workers, etc.) perform their duties in the field without having completed a standardized, systematic, and scientific training program on supported employment.
There is no systematic training program in our country that directly focuses on this subject. This situation may lead to:
- Workplace mismatches,
- Employee turnover,
- Employer dissatisfaction,
- Psychosocial harm to individuals with special needs.
Therefore, there is a need to train Supported Employment Specialists who can professionally manage supported employment processes in Türkiye. This program can be attended by associate/bachelor’s degree graduates who work with individuals with special needs or have the potential to work in this field.
