Training Description

According to the Official Gazette published on 14 January 2022, this training program is provided for the management and supervisory board members (main and substitute) of cooperatives and their upper organizations, determined based on criteria such as field of activity, number of members, and turnover. The duration of cooperative training is determined by the Ministry. Cooperative training consists of at least 40 hours, including 30 hours of core subjects and 10 hours of supportive topics. Each lesson lasts 50 minutes. At least 4/5 of the training duration must be completed.

The training is supervised by the Ministry of Trade. Therefore, attendance is important. Participants are advised to choose a suitable program that does not conflict with other activities.

Who Should Attend?

• Cooperatives of tradesmen and craftsmen credit and guarantee, agricultural sales, agricultural credit, and sugar beet growers
• Cooperatives engaged in construction, tourism development, and real estate businesses with a construction permit and 50 or more members
• Cooperatives engaged in transportation with 50 or more members
• Cooperatives with net sales revenue of 20 million TL or more, regardless of activity
• Cooperatives with 1,000 or more members, regardless of activity

Participation of the main and substitute members of the management and supervisory boards of the above-mentioned cooperatives and upper organizations in the training is mandatory.

Can the Training Fee be Covered by Cooperative Budgets?

Initially, it was stated in the Official Gazette that each member would pay individually; however, according to the regulation published on 07.02.2023, members can cover their training fees from the cooperative with the approval of the general assembly.

Training Process

• A participation certificate is issued at the end of the training. It includes the participant's name, surname, ID number, issue date, validity period, and certificate number.
• The training will be broadcasted live online.
• Internet access and an appropriate data plan are required.
• A device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet, computer) is required.
• Participants must log in with their camera and microphone on during lessons.
• Username and passwords will be sent by email.
• The system will remain open for 7 days after training; it will be closed at 23:00 on the 7th day.
• A WhatsApp group will be created; only the administrator will send messages and share support information.

Important Information

• Certificates are issued to participants who attend at least 80% of the training. No certificate for less than 80% attendance.
• After the training, certificates will be sent via PTT Cargo to the addresses provided during registration. Addresses and contact details must be up-to-date.

• Training fees are paid online. Installment payments are not available for credit/debit cards.

Attention: If participants with confirmed registration cannot attend due to valid reasons or cancel, the refund may take approximately 1 month due to revolving fund procedures. Please consider this before registration.
