Understanding the Functions of the Business Training Program check out our education.

The Climate Change Mitigation Training Program aims to help participants understand the impacts of climate change, teach strategies to reduce carbon emissions, and promote sustainable living habits. The program aims to raise environmental awareness and create societal consciousness against the climate crisis.

The training is for professional development purposes, and the certificate obtained does not replace the MYK authorization certificate in trainings where the MYK authorization certificate is mandatory.

  1. What is Climate Change?
The training begins with the basic concepts of climate change. Participants will learn the scientific foundations, causes, processes, and global impacts of climate change. This module helps them understand the increase in atmospheric gases and its effects on climate.

Climate Change and Global Warming: Explains the warming of the Earth's surface due to the increased concentration of greenhouse gases, particularly carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O).

Different Climate Models: An introduction to various climate models that examine the regional and global effects of climate change.

  1. Impacts of Climate Change
This module covers how climate change affects the environment, economy, society, and health. Participants will work on scientific data-backed examples to understand current and future potential risks.

Environmental Impacts: Ocean acidification, sea level rise, increasing frequency of natural disasters, wildfires, and the decline of biodiversity.

Economic and Social Impacts: Effects of climate change on agriculture, industry, urbanization, migration, and social inequalities.

  1. Carbon Footprint and Greenhouse Gases
Participants are introduced to the concept of the carbon footprint and taught practical steps on how to reduce greenhouse gases in daily life.

What is a Carbon Footprint? Individual and societal carbon emissions and their role in climate change.

Reducing Greenhouse Gases: Strategies for reducing carbon emissions and practical applications (energy efficiency, renewable energy use, changes in transportation).

  1. Renewable Energy and Sustainable Solutions
Participants are taught the significant role renewable energy sources play in combating climate change.

Renewable Energy Sources: Energy production from renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, biomass, and geothermal energy.

Sustainable Solutions: Environmentally friendly lifestyle practices such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, water management, waste management, and green buildings.

  1. Zero Carbon Economy and Green Technologies
In this module, participants are taught ways to achieve zero-carbon goals and how green technologies contribute to this process.

Zero Carbon Economy: Setting zero-carbon goals, carbon neutrality, and ways to reduce carbon emissions.

Green Technologies: Technologies that enhance energy efficiency, electric vehicles, green building, and other innovative environmental technologies.

  1. Individual Contributions in the Fight Against Climate Change
This phase educates participants on how they can individually contribute to fighting climate change.

Sustainable Lifestyle: Changing consumption habits, sustainable food choices, waste reduction, and recycling.

Eco-friendly Habits: Reducing water, energy, and resource consumption, using electric vehicles, and opting for public transport.

  1. Global Climate Agreements and Policy Participation
This module highlights the importance of international climate policies and global climate agreements. Participants will gain knowledge about climate policies implemented worldwide.

Paris Agreement and UN Climate Summits: Global targets, international cooperation, and the development of climate policies.

Local Policies and Community Participation: The role of local governments in combating climate change and the importance of societal participation.

  1. Education and Awareness in the Fight Against Climate Change
This module teaches how to raise awareness and educate others about climate change mitigation.

Community-based Education: Raising awareness of climate change in schools, universities, and communities.

Public Awareness Campaigns: Steps to take for increasing environmental awareness through media and other channels.

  1. Practical Projects and Solution Proposals
At the end of the training, participants work on projects and solution proposals that they can develop in the fight against climate change.

Project Development: Creating projects to reduce climate change.

Solution Proposals: Formulating locally and globally applicable solutions.

The training is open to corporate collaborations, and individual applications are not accepted. The training content can be re-planned based on the corporate participant profile and your specific needs. Following mutual discussions, the scope and method of the training (In-person, Online) will be determined, and the related processes will be completed. If an agreement is reached, the suitable dates and times for your institution's participants and our instructors, as well as the location of the training, will be determined.
